He is the best ‘thing’ that’s ever happened to our family. Our life is certainly better as a result of him being in it.

We decided to create an online narrative to show the world that Down syndrome is ok. We do a daily video about his life and invite anyone checking out this site to take a look. Here are a few posts that may be helpful to those wanting to find out more information about Down syndrome:

We have a baby with down syndrome (now 13 months) and it has been amazing. Everything I ever thought I knew changed with Peter’s birth – named for faith.
The stereotypes of DS just don’t seem to apply to Peter. One pediatrician told us not to expect him to ever be a rocket scientist but he would be loving because apparently all people with DS are loving. Well, Peter has a temper and personality just like any child and if he declares that he wants to be a doctor or scientist, as far as we’re concerned he has as much potential to do that as anyone. He may learn differently but that doesn’t mean he won’t learn just as well as anyone else. And I wouldn’t change him having DS for anything because I know God has a purpose for him and our family.
